Surprise Visit

Eli had a few weeks off work and found out, on the sly, that his sister's band was stuck in L.A. Of course, it was because of the other crazy ginger in the band. It did mean Hexed was stuck in L.A. and the tour hadn't started yet. Devon was the one that gave him the address of the apartments where the musicians were staying while Rekker's incident was sorted out. Eli knew 'incident' meant the ginger had a glorious loss of temper control. While he liked Rekker, he also treated him like a wild animal. The man was likely to bite.

Of course, he pulled up in the lot without warning his sister he was coming at all. Driving did leave him exhausted and he's as eager to see Dee as he is to get a good night of rest. Sleeping in his car the night before didn't put him in the best mood but it's been way too long since he saw his big sister. Both of their busy lives kept them apart for far too long.

He didn't see Dee but he was excited to see Rekker, oblivious, getting something out of the trunk of his car. Eli couldn't resist sneaking out of his car and coming up to slap the ginger hard on the ass. He knew to step back and dodge the Brit after years of harassing him. Rekker rolled his eyes and let our a breath when he saw who it was. Surprised it wasn't Bjorn but also not surprised to see Dee's little brother standing there.

"Come on!" Eli jested. "You're getting older but not uglier."

Rekker let out another breath as he slung the bag on his shoulder and closed the trunk. "Fucking stop."

The younger man leaned into the Brit giggling. "Do you got another blonde that keeps you on a leash?"

"I'm not on anyone's damned leash." Rekker started walking toward the apartment building with Eli catching up easily.

"You're so grouchy. I know you've got someone." Eli put his palm on the door so Rekker couldn't open it. "Or are you like this because you haven't had anyone to suck the bastard out of you lately?"

Rekker yanked the door open. "He'll kick your fucking ass for saying shit like that."

Eli was about to say something, paused while processing what Rekker said, then started to cackle with laughter. "Did Devon and I finally get to you?"

"No." Rekker snapped as he headed for the elevator.

"You know you like us." Eli blossomed into a huge, teasing grin.

"It's not my fault if you get slapped in the face talking like this." Rekker could only imagine Bjorn's reaction as he stepped into the elevator, Eli following and standing way too close for comfort.

"You don't scare me, you devil." Eli winked at him and Rekker wondered what he did to deserve this. He was carrying too much to stop the arm snaking around his waist and Eli leaning into his bicep. Rekker wasn't one to pray but he was praying as the elevator came to a stop and the door started to open. He prayed to everything in the universe that someone other than Bjorn, anyone other than Bjorn was standing in the hallway.

Ragnar was in mild shock over what had happened with the confrontation with Bjorn. They had nearly come to blows but it was lucky Hans and then Dee had intervened when they did. Standing outside of the car, Ragnar tried the door and realised Eli was inviting him in. Well, that was a good sign.

"Eli? Are you alright, darling?"

The Swede sitting in the passenger seat closing the door behind him hoping the boy would be alright.

"Fine." The snap to his voice says he's absolutely not fine as he slams the driver side door closed.

"Fuck this." He started the car up. "Do you drink?"

The question isn't much of one since he is already pulling out of the parking space. He's ready to go on a three day drinking bender at this point.

No, he was not fine but Ragnar wanted to ask anyway because he was polite and caring. The poor boy must be tired having travelled a long way only to bump into his crush's fiance. What a way to start the tour.

"I do drink, yes. Red wine is my usual poison but I'm easy when it comes to booze."

Should the boy be drinking whilst driving a car? Probably not but what could Ragnar do about that now? He was being kidnapped almost which sent a thrill along his spine.

"Good." Eli revved the engine on the car while looking down the street and thinking. "Let's get wasted."

He wasn't normally like this but he wanted to numb himself. Booze was the fastest and probably safest way to do it in Eli's mind.

Ragnar wanted to get to know Eli but couldn't help feeling the man was behaving like his brother, Hjalmar. Wanting to get trashed to numb his feelings or anxiety being Hjalmar's case. Shrugging, the Swede resigned himself to getting drunk with Eli because they boy deserved it after such an entrance.

"I'm good at looking after drunks. My brother is one."

Ragnar knew he too might become wasted so wondered how they would get back to the hotel. Maybe a night in the car and a drive in the morning? Whatever the case, Ragnar would look after Eli.

"If you're going to start shit you can open that door and get the fuck out." Eli didn't like being called a drunk and it showed. Honestly, he rarely drank much at app but this was too much to deal with.

"Dama." Eli was half talking to himself as he turned out of the lot and headed for the fashion district of LA. It was an upscale place and he could definitely see Ragnar in the fashion district. Eli, for the most part, didn't care where the hell they drank.

"I don't want to get out. It was just a joke, darling."

The Swede just frowned a little but understood the man's frustrations so decided not to say anymore on the matter. He didn't want to irritate Eli but try and calm the American down.

"Dama? Is that where we are going?"

The Swede had been to a few bars and clubs since arriving but didn't know the area at all well.

He's driving a little on the fast side but not too recklessly. Being away from Rekker's vicinity is helping a little.

"Last time I was here it was the best wine bar in the county."

And he liked the semi-private back patio seating where plants and garden walls kept patrons from seeing each other. Eli wanted to be alone, sort of, and this made it a perfect choice.

Ragnar is fine with the speed since his last boyfriend was a keen driver as well as a guitarist like the Swede. That was over a year ago though and Andreas was bound to be dating another boy by now.

"Good. I like decent wine bars and don't drink piss for wine either. Something myself and Hunter share in common."

It seemed Ragnar and Hunter clicked as friends instantly because they were two feminine gay men who enjoyed fashion and glam.

"I don't usually drink but sometimes you need it, you know?"

It wasn't far to the wine bar that also served Latin American food. Earing might help his mood too.

"We're more whiskey drinkers but I'm not picky." Eli wasn't but Hexed and he had always drank whiskey. It wouldn't be long before they were pulling up at the place.

"Yes, I can fully understand the need, love."

Ragnar nodded and was now looking out the window at the passing traffic and then the building getting closer to them. It would be a good night.

"I drink spirits when I want to get trashed. Usually fruity cocktails but I'm not fussed."

The Swede wondered what sort of food they served because he was a little hungry too.

Eli pulled into the lot and got out of the car. He's still pissed but slowly coming down. He just wants to drink.

The atmosphere is warm and the people on the back patio can be heard talking and laughing as he waits for Ragnar so they can go in and get a seat on the patio too. Eli is going to order two bottles of wine to start. He wants one just for himself.

Ragnar got out of the car too and wondered what was going through Eli's mind, guessing it was probably full of anger and jealousy. The drinking should help though and maybe help ease the man's mood.

"Thank you for ordering the wine, Eli."

The Swede offered a small smile taking a seat on the patio.

The patio seating was more like a out door patio, leaving them sitting beside each other on what amounted to a wicker loveseat with throw pillows. They do bring out menus as well when they come back to cork the bottles of red wine.

"We're just getting started." Eli instantly starting to drink. He needed to fix his mood. He felt like shit.

"That's what I like to hear."

Ragnar giggled a little and took his own wine glass, taking a large sip but keeping his eyes on the broody American. What an entrance! Not exactly the best start to a tour but then with all these rock stars around there was bound to be friction between people. Seeing Bjorn had tipped Eli over the edge and Ragnar felt bad for him.

"I've never drank wine with a cute American boy before."

Maybe the booze would help lighten the American's mood.

Elijah was brooding but the thought of drinking all night lightened his mood, even if it was only a little.

"I've never drank with a Swede, never met one before I don't think." Eli commented and then order a bunch of food for them too. It was time to indulge a little. He downed the rest of the wine glass and filled it back up. He wanted to get so wasted that he forgot earlier even happened.

"Then, I am your first one, darling? How cute."

Ragnar gently caressed Eli's cheek before withdrawing his touch before going back to drinking his wine. The boy---man was so attractive. The getaway in the car had been totally worth it to be taken away from the apartment complex to come here to this delightful bar.

"We can get wasted together and then see what happens, hm?"

The Swede was in full flirt mode as he refilled his own glass up.

Eli's eyes widened a little at the touch but the smiled.

"Oh you're a flirt." Eli was drinking fast and his cheeks were reddening from the booze but he was also hungry because he'd been driving and forgot to eat.

"Yes, I am. Who told you?"

Ragnar giggled a little and licked a line around his wine glass just because he could. Both of his brothers often said that he was the prissy flirty diva out of the family. He loved this of course. The Swede was getting drunk too and could feel his pulse quicken a little at the prospect of eventually getting closer to Eli.

"Your nose ring is very cute, darling."

"You did." Eli grinned and leaned into the Swede while drinking from his glass.

"Cute?" That had him laughing. "I don't think anyone has ever called it cute."

"Oh, perhaps I did. Am I getting that drunk already? Dear me."

Ragnar giggled girlishly and leaned in closer to Eli, feeling their legs touch. The boy was so adorable with his cute little nose chain and the Swede couldn't help but compliment him on it.

"No? Well, clearly you haven't met the right boy. It is cute and so are you."

The glam singer sipped his wine whilst keeping his gaze upon the American.

Eli is drinking fast, way too fast maybe. He wants to get so trashed he can't think because that is the only thing that feels like it will help.

"I did meet the right boy. He just couldn't be bothered with me because I'm not a loud mouthed whore like everyone else he fucks." Eli's hurting and the booze might be numbing his feelings but it is also loosening his mouth about what is going on. "Fucking bastard."

Ragnar probably doesn't want to hear this but Eli can't help it. The pain needs out somehow. It's too intense to bottle up.

Ragnar didn't say anything because he could see the hurt coming off the American. It seems Eli's last boyfriend was a complete bastard and the Swede frowned, clearly upset at what he was hearing.

"I'm sorry. He sounds a complete fucking bastard."

Sipping more wine slowly, Ragnar just wondered what shit Eli had been through to cause such anger. He was a rugged rogue of a man; a maverick and the Swede was falling for him fast.

"Just let it all out if you want, darling. I don't mind. We're here to enjoy ourselves and fuck the world what everyone else thinks."

"You tell me." Eli downed the entire glass of wine and started filling it back up. "You saw him earlier."

Eli was talking about Rekker. True, he hadn't been as forward with the Brit as he should have been but part of that was feeling like he wasn't attractive enough or feminine enough for the ginger to want anything from him that would be stable. It didn't mean he wasn't drowning in emotions and regret knowing that Rekker was getting married now.

"This shit can't be enjoyable for you." Eli started shutting himself down, bottling up what he was feeling so he didn't burden anyone with is problems. He instantly turned the attention from himself. "Do you like the wine?"

Ragnar's eyes went a little wide at that admission. He'd seen him earlier?---

"Oh fuck---Rekker? He?---"

The Swede didn't want to insult the ginger but just hearing how hurt Eli was it didn't bode well with the glam singer. He really seemed hurt over the breakdown of their relationship, whatever that was.

"I'm alright, darling. Just enjoying being with you as it should be. Talking and being ourselves. The wine is delightful."

Ragnar pressed a kiss to Eli's cheek and giggled.
